Doyles Corner, Phibsborough: State of The Art Function Room, Events Venue & Bar
Doyles Corner in Phibsborough, Dublin 7, has been around for almost a 100 years. In summer of 2018 however it has been taken by new ownership by the same fantastic people that brought you Oscars Cafe Bar Christchurch and Oscars Smithfield, only a few minutes from the centre of Dublin.
Breathing much needed life back into what was once a dingy old pub, this venue is unrecognisable and has been fully refurbished to the highest levels of quality from top to bottom, with no expense spared. It’s now spread over three different floors and we popped in to the venue for a visit on a quiet morning and got some great snaps to give you an idea of how much it’s changed and why you definitely should consider for your next event or night out.
The venue now boasts a stunning modern bar on the ground floor, serving top quality food and drinks, the drinks display alone is mesmerising. To the side of the main bar is a traditional snug bar which offers that unique cosy feel a snug bar should. All of the areas downstairs can be reserved for parties and events. Doyles Corner, being run by the same folks who run the Oscars venues, know events inside-out, and will be able to help plan every detail to make sure it goes smoothly and your guests have a truly rememberable experience.
As part of the refurbishment, on the second floor lives a state of the art, vintage style, high-ceilinged function room, complete with its own bar and sound system, looking out over the busy crossroads below. I cannot stress to you how cool this room is, you really should experience it for yourself.
It has a great ambience and would be perfect for a sophisticated corporate event, Christmas party, large birthday party or two joint birthday parties, charity event, table quiz, engagement party and personally I think a wedding reception here would be amazing, particularly if you fancied something a little different from the usual traditional down-the-country type wedding.
This unique function room also has own-door access from the street, a private beer garden/outdoor courtyard, smoking area and its own toilets so your guests have the freedom to move around but will all be kept together on this floor, which I’ve always found whether at weddings or other events ensures that everyone has a great night.
Finally on the third floor is a stunning board room, it’s big and like the function room, looks out over the street below, perfect for meetings and team building events. Of course high quality food catering for all events and reservations can be provided and tailored to your needs.
