About This Venue

Revels Bar in Rathfarnham Village, South Dublin is a traditional style bar, spread over two floors with mezzanine level in between, now under new management and open 7 days a week . This venue regularly hosts the best in live music as well as table quizzes and other events.

 

The ground floor is home to a cosy bar complete serving food & drinks daily, open early for morning coffee & showing all live sporting events. On the second floor is a stunning recently renovated large private function room, complete with it's own bar, toilets, PA system, large projector and screens, and own-door access from the street as well as a lift for full wheelchair accessibility.

Private Function Room for Events:
Revel's private function room upstairs is available for exclusive hire for a wide range of events & special occasions. This space can hold approx 140 guests and is ideal for birthday parties, funeral receptions, engagement parties, table quizzes, charity events, christenings, Christmas parties and plenty more.

Meetings:
The bar on the ground floor, with high-seated booths is perfect for day time meetings. Coffee and food served with free wifi also available.

Hi all - just letting you know that the Revels Folk Revival will be kicking off again this Wednesday Sep 18th @9pm on the 1st Floor in Jims BarBeginning in January this year, the Revels Folk Revival has seen a wonderful range of feature acts and memorable floor spots. The venue is a lovely place to perform and the crowd is always very welcoming. RFR returns for September so be sure to come down to play a floor spot or to listen in the unique all-acoustic setting.We have two great acts for you this month - Manders Lane and Hy-Breasail.Hy-Breasail is an exciting new folk group formed between previous collaborators Brian Cleary, Eamonn Mooney & Colm Gibbons. Hy-Breasail sets out to promote traditional story telling through original material but with a slightly contemporary flavor.Manders Lane is a new trad / ballad project by local duo Colm Ó Coisdealbha and Brian Dillon. Colm is a guitar player and singer from Salthill in Galway. He was taught by Declan Collins and the late Mike Arrigan. His influences include Dick Gaughan, Donogh Hennessey, Luke Kelly and John Blake. Brian is a banjo player and singer from Nenagh in North Tipperary.
