The Alex has 103 luxurious hotel rooms and a multitude of beautifully designed spaces for corporate events, meetings, conferences, special occasions, Christmas & Summer parties to name but a few. All rooms feature state of the art AV, high tech facilities, fast wifi and air conditioning.


The Odyssey

The Odyssey room located on the ground floor, is filled with natural daylight and can be used for lots of different event types from small gala dinners and award shows, to corporate parties, meetings, conferences, staff training and get-togethers. The Odyssey is suitable for up to 120 guests.


The Orient 

The Orient is The Alex's biggest and most versatile space, offering an impressively spacious room for exhibitions, large gala dinners and conferences. The Orient is suitable for up to 400 guests (seated) but can be divided into up to four smaller rooms, ideal for intimate gatherings, weddings, meetings or workshops and training activities.


The Rovos

The Rovos is smallest of the event and meeting spaces at The Alex but certainly packs a lot into its intimate setting, thanks to its unique style and layout, featuring designer wallpaper and a herringbone wooden floor. This room is suitable for up to ~20-30 guests and is perfect for smaller meetings, press conferences or private dining & special occasions.


The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden at The Alex is one of the city's true hidden gems and offers exquisite luxury on those lovely summer days. This beautiful, floral-inspired terrace is available for private hire during the week and is ideally suited to alfresco private dining, intimate weddings, weekend brunch, corporate or sophisticated get togethers for groups of up to 25 guests. It also features a fully retractable roof and heaters for when needed.
