Looking for function rooms in Dublin to host a special occasion, birthday party, wedding day-after party, charity event, table quiz, drinks reception, retirement party or private event? We’ve outlined our picks of some of our favourites rooms and spaces available to hire from South Dublin to North Dublin and the city centre. Many of venues offer hire of the room free of charge based on minimum guest numbers or minimum spends to be achieved, however this varies from venue to venue. A deposit or room hire fee may be required to reserve the space. Venues will also be able to provide catering for you & your guests, just remember to ask when enquiring and they’ll help plan every detail of your party.
The Bourbon Bar
Location: Harcourt Street, Dublin 2

Sitting above The Odeon on Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 is one of Dublin’s most luxurious private and sought after function rooms; The Bourbon Bar. This opulent space is ideal for large events and suited to capacities of approx. 200 guests (standing) or 100 (seated). Ideal for sophisticated events and parties such as wedding receptions, large birthday parties (30ths and up), corporate parties, product launches and Christmas parties. It features a stunning bar to the side of the room, with comfortable seating & tables throughout . Entertainment in the form of a DJ or live band can be provided as well as catering of course. Lemon & Duke on Hibernian Street, just of Grafton Street, Dublin 2 is personally one of our most favourite venues. We held a wedding day-after party here before and was a resounding success. Renowned for its top class finger food, cocktails, its in own in-house tank beer system, its super central location and quite unique layout and feel, it has all the ingredients needed for a spectacular party for you and your guests. There’s a snug just to the right of the main bar, ideal for private functions of up to approx. 60 guests and comes with its own access to the bar. Areas can also be reserved in the main bar for semi-private events for groups of 10 – 100. This venue is hugely popular for 30th/40th birthday parties, hen parties, engagements, wedding day-after parties and corporate events.

Foley’s

On the corner of Merrion Row & Baggot Steet, Dublin 2, just off St Stephen’s Green, The Oriel Room at Foley’s is a real hidden gem of a function room, right in the centre of the city. You might not even know it’s there from passing by on the street as it’s located on the second floor. The uniquely designed room comes with its own bar, toilets, plug & play sound system, own door entrance from the street and a little outside terrace. Suitable for up to 120 guests, this fantastic space can be set up in a number of layouts and is often booked for wide of range of types of events from birthday parties (30ths and up), corporate events to family get together’s, engagement parties, weddings and wedding day-after parties. The minimum number of guests to book this room is 80, however if your guest list is less than this, Foley’s also have two other smaller private function rooms available named The Loft and The Sitting Room.

The recently renovated Tower Bar at The Church near Jervis Street SC, Dublin 1 is the perfect private function room for up to 100 guests (mix of standing & standing). This multi-levelled room features its own private bar and mezzanine and is ideally suited to private special occasions such as birthdays, engagement parties, corporate events and lots more. A minimum number of 60 guests is required to book this space. Party packages available for this room which include your DJ, lighting / sound, cake, balloons, bottle of bubbly and luxury finger food for guests.
