NYE is usually one of if not the busiest nights in Dublin City Centre, arrive early to avoid disappointment and if possible purchase a ticket in advance to guarantee entry on the night.
DTwo on Harcourt Street are running a masquerade ball for their New Year’s Eve bash. Doors open at 8.30pm, with complementary glass of bubbly and mask upon arrival. Buskers in Temple Bar are ringing in the new year with an Access All Areas night of live music & dancing in Buskers Bar with a party until late, and a not to be missed NYE Ping Pong Party in Buskers on the Ball! To compliment the New Years Festival happening on the Docklands this New years Eve, ELY BAR & GRILL have a special evening planned. They open at 4pm, serving bar bites and their little people’s menu. Families are welcome to join them before or after the Midnight Matinee Moment event at 6pm (details on the NY Festival below) . For those looking to celebrate New Years Eve in style, the Champagne is on ice and the kitchen team have created a tasting menu for the occasion. In the Atrium Bar their resident DJ will play a New Year’s Eve set for the night. In true ELY style the menu features seasonal produce from a community of artisan suppliers. The New Year’s Festival Dublin (NYF Dublin) is an exciting programme of events to ring in 2019. There are 3 spectacular events happening on the 31 December 2018. At 6pm-7pm is the family friendly Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinée on Custom House Quay & Georges Quay. Tickets are FREE for this but must be registered for in advance. See here for more information. At 8pm is the New Year’s Eve 3 Countdown Concert on Custom House Quay with performances by Gavin James, Hudson Taylor & Wild Youth. This dazzling lighting spectacle will be performed against the backdrop of the Custom House and features a thrilling choreography of lasers and aqua beams. Live DJs and percussionists perform on the water in perfect harmony with hundreds of lasers and lights as they illuminate the midnight sky over Dublin City. On December 31st, NoLIta are bringing you back to New York in the ’70s, an era of glitter balls & DISCO.
